Watershed Youth Essay Contest (Ages 16–19)
The Clover Creek Restoration Alliance invites students from across the Chambers–Clover Creek Watershed to speak up for the lakes, streams, wetlands, and groundwater that shape our community — and your future.
Eligibility:
Students must reside within the Chambers – Clover Creek Watershed.
What’s Happening to the Water Where You Live?
What have you seen with your own eyes?
What concerns you?
What would you like to see change?
This contest is your opportunity to share your voice and perspective about local water issues that affect your community and your generation.
How Entries Will Be Judged
Judges will look for:
- Understanding of the issue
- Clear thinking and realistic solutions
- Support from facts or local examples
- Organization and readability
- An authentic, personal voice
We value curiosity, effort, and original thinking.
Awards
- 1st Place: $200 Visa Gift Card
- 2nd Place: $100 Visa Gift Card
- 3rd Place: $50 Visa Gift Card
Winners may also be:
- Featured in local media
- Recognized at a community event
- Highlighted in CCRA outreach materials
