About The CCRA
Who We Are
The Clover Creek Restoration Alliance (CCRA), formerly known as the Clover Creek Council, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable corporation licensed in the State of Washington. We are a volunteer- and member-run organization working to educate and organize our community to protect the greater Clover–Chambers Creek watershed. Our work includes political advocacy as well as hands-on projects such as planting trees and removing invasive species.
Our Mission
The mission of CCRA is to advocate, identify, and make efforts to reverse damage, to protect the integrity of the creek, to restore the habitat for all aquatic life, and ensure protection of vital groundwater.
Our History
For more than 30 years, we were known as the Clover Creek Council. Today, as the Clover Creek Restoration Alliance, we continue that legacy with a renewed focus on restoration, education, and community engagement.
Membership
Membership is $20. New members receive a CCRA T-shirt to wear at events and work parties. For $40, you can upgrade to a CCRA hoodie. To join, contact us at clovercreekraa@gmail.com.
Our Watershed
Welcome to Clover Creek and the shallow valley called Brookdale! Clover Creek flows from headwaters in Frederickson through Parkland, under the runway at McChord, and into Lakewood, before reaching Steilacoom Lake. From there it joins Chambers Creek—along with Flett and Leach Creeks—and continues into Chambers Bay and Puget Sound. The creek is also fed by Spanaway and Morey Creeks.
Our watershed includes Dupont’s Sequalitchew Creek and Tacoma’s Puget Creek, which flow directly into Puget Sound but share a groundwater connection to the larger system.
